Application of activated carbon

Cleaning function. Absorption and removal of a small amount of unwanted components or groups of components contained in the treated liquid or gas.

Recovery function. After adsorption and concentration of a valuable component or group of
components from the target liquid, in which several components are mixed, it is isolated and used.

Separation function. Using the adsorption capacity of activated carbon to separate the mixture into
several groups of components increases the value of each component.

Catalyst and Catalyst carrier. By supporting and dispersing the catalyst over a large surface area of organic molecules.

Water purification. Removal of compounds that cause unpleasant taste and smell, formed from soluble organic substances, removal of fine organic contaminants.

Liquid purification and decolorization in the food industry.

Fluid purification and decolorization in chemical and other industries.

The raw materials for activation can be carbon of any species including wood of hard and soft wood species. Shells of various nuts (coconut, walnuts, hazelnuts, cashews, cedar, etc.) are especially good for activation. The higher the density of the raw materials for activation, the better the properties of activated carbon will be  manifested. SEE […]
